The times were not the best I've done but not that bad.
High point - 12 minutes (and I had to stop and walk a couple of times)
Machen bridge - 25 minutes
back level with Joe's - 52 minutes
High point - 15 minutes (time from start of second circuit - didn't stop jogging 'till I reached the high point)
Machen bridge - 28 minutes
back at Joe's - 59 minutes
The stretch along the cycle track on the second time was very tiring, I felt my legs were made of lead :) I had to keep concentrating on running style or I kept catching my shins on the other foot.
So I did something like 9 miles in 1 hour 51 minutes ... that's ... erm ... carry one and add the number I first thought of ... about 2:40 for the half marathon on Sunday. In fact the course on Sunday is nowhere near as steep as the route I'm running around here, so that should make me quicker right? And then there is the adrenalin of the race, the roar of the crowd and the excitement of the day ... oh and a couple of my friends on the last section nagging me to run quicker :) Bearing all that in mind I ought to be able to break 2:30 which will be a personal best.
This will be the last run before the race on Sunday, so now I can legitimately concentrate on getting the carbohydrates built up :)))
